ART Street

College Area Business District is bringing some culture to the College Area by hosting the 2nd Annual Art Street!

What is Art Street?

Art Street is a family-friendly arts extravaganza hosted by the College Area Business District. The free event is scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. Art Street will boast 40 artist booths that will include various 2 and 3-dimensional art as well as handmade items for sale! There will also be an interactive art opportunity for those who want to get in touch with their inner artist!
The event will be held in the College Area Business District on the 4700 Block of Art Street (between El Cajon Boulevard & Seminole Street)
The stage will entertain the crowd with live performances of  music, dance, spoken word and comedy. Come for the art, stay for the day-long entertainment!

This year we are very  happy to announce that College Area’s own Tap Truck (a subsidiary of Corbin’s Q, 6548 El Cajon Boulevard) will be the official host of the Beer Garden along with Groundswell Brewing sponsored beers!

Art Street will showcase up to 10 live performance artists. Not only is the event going to spotlight musical performers, but also dance, comedy, as well as spoken word! Don’t get us wrong, there WILL be music, because, hey, who doesn’t enjoy good music?
If you know of or are a part of an entertaining organization and would like to perform for the visitors to Art Street, please contact us at with a link to a recent performance or a sample of your work. Some invitations have been sent out and we will be rather selective about the live performances chosen for this for this event, but please let us know if you think you have what it takes to be a part of the second-annual Art Street event!

Are you looking to get involved but are not an artist or food vendor? Art Street will have many opportunities for hands-on volunteers!
