College of Business Administration: Aztec Consulting Program – Aztec Consulting Application
The Small Business Consulting Center (SBCC) of SDSU’s College of Business Administration uses senior level and MBA business students to provide consulting assistance to local small business owners. The student consultants, working as a three or four person team, work with each small business client for an entire academic semester, with each consulting team guided by an MBA student and a faculty advising committee. Small Business Administration (SBA) Resources
San Diego SCORE: Provides free and confidential business assistance to both prospective entrepreneurs and existing small business owners. They also conduct a variety of low-cost workshops that address many of the essential techniques necessary for establishing and managing a successful business. San Diego SCORE is part of a national association which serves as a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Small Business Advisory Board: The City’s award-winning Small Business Advisory Board is charged with advising the Mayor and City Council on any matter that will enhance the capability of small businesses in San Diego to succeed, such as the formulation of laws, policies or procedures which may affect the management, operation or financial stability of small businesses. There are eleven board members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
