It’s that time of year again when the College Area Business District elects new board members. At this time, we are requesting nominations from YOU, the general membership.
Eligible College Area business tax certificate holders and commercial property owners are asked to nominate themselves or another eligible person to run for this election. Some of the incumbents are running for their previous seats, however, every seat will be elected by the general membership of eligible business of the College Area Business District and commercial property owners of the College Heights Maintenance Assessment District. The elections will be held at the Annual Meeting on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
If you would like to nominate yourself or another eligible person, fill out the nomination form sent via mail, and return it to the College Area Business District office (4704 College Avenue) in person or via mail. All Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017, to be reviewed and considered for the election ballot.
This year’s Nominating Committee will review the list of nominees and determine eligibility. A final ballot of all eligible nominees will then be presented at the March 15, 2017, Board Meeting.
Ballots will be sent out Friday, March 17, 2017, with voting available online as well. During our Annual Meeting and Elections Breakfast scheduled for April 19, 2017, the ballots will be accepted, counted and announced. The New Board will convene immediately for their first meeting
