This Workshop is for local businesses and property owners to educate and help reduce the chances of being hit by a “drive-by” lawsuit, improving access for the disabled. Learn about ADA California law, from a Certified Access Specialist. This workshop will give you steps to take to reduce your chances of being sued and help better serve clients.
Meet our Certified Access Specialist:
Sandi Miles has 25 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, specializing in site accessibility projects over the last 14 years. Ms. Miles is a Certified Access Specialist (CASp #346) in the state of California and is certified by the International Code Council as an Accessibility Plans Examiner and Inspector. Offering a full range of accessibility compliance including; accessibility site inspections, CASp reports, accessibility plan review, training presentations, training classes, Title II, Title III, and Fair Housing Act review. In addition, Ms. Miles has performed grading design, construction management and inspection of projects as well as developed a variety of project-specific documents for civil engineering projects.
Accessibility is a topic of deep personal concern to Ms. Miles. Her compassion is personal and she is dedicated to ongoing continuing education to see the entire scope of accessibility issues instead of focusing on one aspect.

Register for Bike to Work Day 2017. When you register for Bike to Work Day, you can stop by one of 100 pit stop locations throughout the San Diego region on May 18 from 6 – 9 a.m. to pick up a FREE t-shirt*, snacks, and encouragement.
This year our Bike to Work Day pit stop will be located outside of Duet Coffee, where we will be offering Bike tune ups, health related refreshments, Bike Apparel giveaways and raffles, and of course, lots of encouragement. Joining us will be some of our fantastic local businesses that will be enhancing and providing the offerings at our pit stop. Local bike shop, Pedal Pushing Bicycle Shop will be offering the bike tuneups, SOAS the district’s leading manufacturing company for women’s athletic wear will be providing giveaways and special raffle items, and San Diego Blenders will be providing healthy refreshments.
